At Blue Tongue Carpets we are tough on supplier performance and service. We strive to give our customers the very best before and after sales service and the quality of our suppliers plays a large role in that process.

Our Review Criteria

1. The manufacturer or supplier – price, quality control, reliability
2. The products – quality, range and performance
3. The representative – attitude, reliability and communication

1. The manufacturer

Price and quality are both very important but even more so are, quality control, rectification of faults, consistent production or supply schedules, prompt action when product is faulty, delivered damaged, late or wrong, technical back up and support, after sales commitment and the ability to listen to their customers (our) concerns. 

2. The products

Are the products truly competitive (in price and quality) to other brands? Do the guarantees truly reflect the product in relation to other ranges? Are they made locally making availability more consistent. Is there a good variety of products with diverse colour banks? Are they user friendly for the installers?

3. The rep

The rep is the face of the product and can make or break the viability of an entire product range. Some reps always return calls, others are less reliable. Some think outside the square and try to give our business what it needs, or could use, others either don’t care or just don’t get it. Respect and communication is always a two way street.

The bottom line is that we choose to be in the best frame of mind with the best range of products available so we can serve our customers needs to the best of our ability.
